This is a discussion group where information and opinions regarding education in our local community can be shared in a dignified and respectful manner. Young people, teachers, and support staff are our greatest assets.

We have the power of our individual votes to make a change and vote for the common good of quality education in our community. Students don't vote. Let's make ourselves heard on their behalf, and for generations yet to be born.

It is time to take back our education system. API (Average Performance Index) for Inglewood schools is 74%. This is 20% above the state average. Teachers deserve raises and could get them if not for all the dollars we pay out in avoidable lawsuits.

We can make a difference at the polls.

Vote for:

Student Achievement to really make sure students are prepared for college, vocational employment, or to be business owners.

Teacher Empowerment enabling teachers to enthusiastically prepare students to achieve as well as properly compensating certificated teachers.

Eradication of illiteracy and turn around the trend of 85% of incarcerated youth being illiterate.

Fiscal Responsibility to turn around the history of the IUSD Board of consistently paying avoidable lawsuits and not investing those same large dollar amounts in the infrastructure, students, teachers, and support staff.

This is the time for our collective voices to be heard. We can not continue to do the same things and expect different results.
