This group is the only one of its kind dedicated to the work of John Edmund Gardner (20 November 1926 - 3 August 2007). John Gardner was variously; a Royal Marine commando, a stage magician, theatre critic, reviewer, journalist, a Church of England priest and a bestselling thriller novelist who wrote over 50 books. Gardner was educated in Berkshire and at St John's Coollege, Cambridge. John Gardner was the author of the autobiography 'Spin the Bottle,' the Boysie Oakes spy series, the Herbie Kruger spy series, the Derek Torry detective novels, the Moriarty Journals, the 'Secret Trilogy,' the 14 original James Bond continuation novels and 2 James Bond film-tie in novelsations (1981-1996), the Suzie Mountford series and other miscellaneous novels of spy fiction and other genres.

Members are invited to post on any topic concerned with the thriller writer John Gardner. Group members are welcome to upload files containing essays or articles on John Gardner and his fiction. The moderator will from time to time add articles and interviews with John Gardner. All fans of John Gardner are welcome to post and contribute to the group.
