Dear friends slaves of Imam Ali and the mourners of Imam Hussain. We are
discussing the
zikr of Allah and the Ahle baith. This is the zikr due to which we are alive.
Due to this zikr
we are spreading in this world. Wherever we go we take this zikr with us.
Inshallah we will
have a new center in this city.
The society is the body
The soul is the zikr of Hussain
Once we have the farsh spread out for majalis it is as though we are at home
again. I have
been requested to recite poetry mainly for the majalis here. The flight has lost
my bags
and I do not have my poetry books with me. However today I recalled my poems and
wrote
them down. The zikr of Hussain started with poetry. Umme Kulthoom and Bibi
Zainab
wrote the poetry first. The speeches came much later. Hazrat E Farazdaq was the
first
marsiya khan or the one who recited the poetry when he saw our Imam Zain Ul
Abedeen.
This was when the imam went to the kaaba to the hajr e aswad. Farazdaq was a
court poet
who wrote poetry for the kings. Nobody can say when Allah will turn one's life
as He did
with the life of Hur. When the king asked who is this person who parted the
crowds so?
Farazdaq then said you may not recognize this person but his footsteps are
recognized by
the kaaba itself. Then he said the marsiya.
Hazrat E Kubaid when he was seen by our Imam he said the poet of my ancestors is
here
and he will recite a marsiya. Our Imam himself made the arrangements for the
majalis.
Kubaid started to recite the poetry and then at one point the Imam said be quiet
now as
the bibis have fainted.
This method of majalis is particular and the infallibles loved this manner of
majalis. In
India for 100s of years the majalis used to be only marsiya. The Imam said that
if a person
makes another cry for Imam Hussain with a single poem he will go to heaven.
It is my honor that you are requesting me to recite poetry. I recite my own
poems and
none others. The poet of the ahle baith is not an ordinary thing.
The granddaughter of Mohammed Ibne Abu Bakar was the wife of the 5th Imam and
her
son was our 6th Imam. Mohammed Ibne Abu Bakar was taught by Imam Ali and the
guidance of his mother changed the blood of Abu Bakar into a lover of the ahle
baith.
