For folks who identify as Jewitches. A place to collect stories, practices, rituals, philosophies, compromises, discussions.

This list is for people who self-identify as "Jewitches", a term pretty much created for that purpose. The variety of people who identify with the term are wide: everything from Jewish people who practice some form of Paganism (be that Witchcraft, Wicca, reconstructism, ceremonial, heathenism, and so on), to Jews who explore the more mystical, shamanistic, and/or liberal aspects of Judaism (Jewish Renewal, Jewish Reconstructionists, Jewish Shamans, Jewish Kabbalists, Jewish Feminists, and so on).

That means that courtesy and respect and thoughtful writing is highly favored and encouraged here. We have a very diverse and intelligent community. Listening to each other is prized. That DOESN'T mean folks can't disagree - where's the fun in that? What is DOES mean is that folks RESPECTFULLY disagree.

This list is NOT:

- a general Witch/Wiccan/Pagan list
- a general Judaism list
- a Western Ceremonial magic list

While we have members who are either not Jewish, or even not Jewish and not Pagan, they are few and far between. They are honored guests who are interested in listening and understanding the perspectives of the Jewitches on the list.
