ne of the reasons I love this club, and the
Yedidut message board on Jangle, is that now I don't feel
so alone. Sometimes it can be difficult living here,
far from family and the familiar culture I grew up
with (and didn't always love, but you know what they
say about distance making the heart grow fonder!)
Now, add to that the fact that I seriously doubt
there's another scrapper in this country! And of course,
the people I've encountered here are
wonderful.

I hope you'll find the stickers - if not, be sure
to let me know! Have a great Shabbat!
'll try and locate them here at some of the
local stores or on-line. The owners at a local store,
Make a Memory seem pretty open to ordering things they
think customers might like, so I could also try that
route. Thanks for your offer to help purchase some, I'll
let you know if I can't find any.

This
web-site is great! I think its fabulous that we're from
all over the place and still connecting!

Good
Shabbas!
ops! I forgot that I had seen some Provo Craft
stickers at the Keeping Memories Alive website. In
addition to similar items to those on the Sandylion
strips, I do remember that they had stickers of a boy and
a girl, both wearing kippah & tallit. Try
www.scrapbooks.com if you're interested!
aomi, the Dover stickers you used for your purim
page are acid free. I tested them with the acid-test
pen that I purchased at Make a Memory store here in
Atlanta. I also think I'm going to color copy and enlarge
some of those stickers to make Shabbat die-cuts. I
would love it if you could email me those die-cuts.

Thanks.

Happy Scrappin
ctually, Best of Times here in Atlanta has the
Shabbat stickers Amy is talking about, but as far as good
die cuts I haven't come up with any. I have some good
computer clip art I could print & send to you (or anyone
else for that matter) if you want. Let me know.
i and welcome! You're so lucky you've actually
gotten to meet one of these wonderful ladies in
person.

Sandylion makes a very nice Shabbat set of stickers...I've
seen them in regular and I guess it was Mylar (shiny
metallic). One module includes a braided challah,
candlesticks, cup of wine & wine carafe (filled with what looks
suspiciously like Manescwiecz (spelling??) to me! I think
there may also be a challah cover and a kippa
(yarmulke) on there. Sorry, can't tell you where you'd find
them on-line. If you have trouble, I could ask my SIL
in Jerusalem to pick some up and I'll send 'em to
you. Here in (fairly) secular Netanya, I've only seen
one set, once. If this sounds like a plan, please let
me know asap, so I can ask her to bring them when
they come here for Purim next week. HTH
our Creative Memories Consultant should have Judaic Combo Packs. If you do not
have consultant and are interested, send me an e-mail and we'll discuss it
further. tiggers@...
I. I am new to this club and scrapbooking in
general. I met Naomi at a local Atlanta Crop and she told
me about ya'll. I'm looking forward to sharing ideas
with you.

I have two girls, 8 and 3 years of
age. I am trying to go back and do books from their
birth. (I must be crazy)

I was wondering if
anyone knows of any clipart or die cuts or stickers for
shabbat. I have wonderful pictures of their preschool
shabbat activities. I suppose I could always try and draw
my own candles, challah and kiddish cup, but I
cannot draw very well!!

I heard that a local Make
a Memory store here is going to carry the Judaic
punches. Apparently the store owners had several
discussions with the manufacture re: higher pricing on these
vs other punches. He's going to call me when they
come in and I'll pass on the info if anyone needs
them.
hank you both for your help! I've heard there's something about Judaic punches
in the latest CK - if I'm lucky I'll get my copy before the end of March! I'll
also check out the scrappatch site.
no longer have the packaging from my punch, so
I don't have an actual address or anything. I found
it in a Judaica gift shop near my in-laws' house.
Next time I'm over that way, I'll take a look at the
package it came in.

Also, in the March/April
Creating Keepsakes mag,on page 145, they said that McGill
is offering a new line called Traditions that
includes Shalom, Star of David, menorah and dreidel
designs among others. The cost is supposed to be $8.50 -
$12 per punch. Their number, which is supposed to be
for wholesale only, is 800-982-9884.

Another
option is for me to check out the cost of buying &
shipping you one. Let me know if you want me to pursue
that.
've heard of these Ktav punches (like the one
Naomi used in her Yom Ha Atzmaut layouts - beutiful
pages, btw) - but when I requested a catalog from Ktav,
they sent me one that only mentions books! How do I
find these punches? TIA
have read on some BB's that you can scan one
side of a 12x12, then separately scan the other side.
Then you can "stitch" them together making them one
picture.

I'll try to figure out how to do that and if not I'll
snap a few pics of my album pages and do it that way!
y layouts are actually 11 inches high by 15
inches wide. I jsut take photos of the page & have them
developed to disk (or internet). It usually costs $5 (or
less with coupons) for the whole roll in addition to
regular processing. You might want to look into that for
your 12x12 layouts. The quality isn't as sharp as a
scan, but it may be okay for our purposes. Good luck! I
look forward to seeing your layouts!
he way you went about posting was fine. As we grow, it may have to change. I
have to see how much space we have to load pictures but for now that is fine.
Keep on scanning ;^)
am not sure if maybe it is easier to take a
picture of the page and then scan the picture. How big is
your scanner bed? Otherwise, take it to a copy place
and copy it but reduce the size and then scan it. By
the way what is stitching?
hope I went about this the right way --
creating a separate album. As we grow (hopefully), I
figured that would be the easiest way to keep track of
people's layouts. Let me know if I need to do it
differently, and I'll change it.
f you want to add a layout but do not have a scanner to do so, please e-mail me
privately and we will work something out. Like you can, mail me a color copy and
I will scan it on for you.
