This is a group for people who are interested in Jewish genealogy but hate pushy moderation. You CAN post surname posts, questions about non-Jewish Slavic ancestors, and ads for half-baked genealogy books here. Of course, other folks also have the freedom to criticize your posts. Suggestion: If you know you are posting a type of post that will irritate some folks (i.e., a surname post) identify the type in the header, so the irritated folks can avoid it. NOTE: Because of vicious spam attacks, I have created a bunch of new moderators who are trigger happy about deleting the accounts which appear to be opened by spammers. To avoid registration problems, please post a real message immediately, or put "I'm not a spammer!" somewhere in your personal information, so that we can tell you're a regular person and not a spammer. I'm not requiring preapproval of new members, yet, though, because I'd rather not keep out people who just suddenly decide they want to post to this group.
