Jefferson County is growing rapidly, as is the number of homeschool families. In an effort of uniting as a homeschool group, I'm starting this online support group.

We can share ideas, ask for advice, vent on bad days (we all have them), and hopefully share a bond that will overcome obstacles and criticism from outsiders. We all have different challenges to face, but I believe that together we can face them equally.

I am homeschooling a disabled child, so I'm also hoping to reach out to those who are disappointed with the school system and feel that their child deserves better. Homeschooling is an awesome experience that some aren't even aware of. Children on the Autism Spectrum, to be specific, benefit greatly from learing in a quiet home environment. With the rising number of cases of Autism (1 in 150 now) there is also an equally rising number of homeschool families facing new challenges and looking for help. I hope this web group can at least touch those people residing in Jefferson County, Missouri.
