JCSN is an action network dedicated to local economic, environmental,
and social sustainability, in Jackson County, Oregon.
We define and implement strategic projects needed to thrive as a self-
supporting community. This includes: localizing food supply, housing
materials, all media, currency, retail businesses, community education,
community gardening (including permaculture design and organic
agriculture), alternative transportation, health and wellness and related ventures.
This is for directly, specifically, LOCALLY relevant posts. Yes, I know that national and global, political, and general enviromental issues profoundly effect us locally, but there are many other venues for those posts. So please, avoid comments on non-local general issues and reposting here stuff from other such blogs and groups unless you make specifically clear what you want readers to do LOCALLY in response to such posts.
The moderator will usually reject general posts, referrals to, and reposts of articles about ecology, safety that are not specifically of concerned with local issues. We can very easily be flooded with these posts and there are many other lists most of us JCSN members stay in touch with that keep us up-to-date on such stuff.
And if you do repost something here, post a link only, not the full text.
