Crossing Cultures Special-Interest-Group: focuses on cross-cultural behavior and training, intercultural communication and their impact on language learning, the socio-cultural aspects of language learning and teaching.
Officially founded at the JALT May, 2000 Executive Board meeting, the group desires to become an affiliate of the Japan Association for Language Teaching and has close ties with other professional societies (SIETAR Japan, TESOL Intercultural Communication Interest Section, and IAICS (International Association for Inter-cultural Studies).
