In summer 2004, information came to the attention of the Ithaca, NY community regarding toxic chemicals used by the Morse Chain company (now owned by Emerson Power Transmission) in the South Hill area. After investigation, the site is now officially classified as "a significant threat to human health or the environment; action is required."

This group exists to facilitate communication of information between residents, government (city, county, and state), and other interests, with the goal of identifying the nature and scope of the health risks caused by toxics in the South Hill area and mitigating them.
