"Italianisti" is a Discussion Group dedicated to the Italian Military since the Unification of Italy in the 1860's. Its primary focus is World War II, but only because this is where most of its members interest is. The group is non-political in nature. It is dedicated to studying military history and the people, weapons, tactics, and decisions of the period covered. It is not a "revisionist" group, nor is it concerned with condoning or condemning events or actions in the periods discussed.

The name "Italianisti" translates in English loosely to "Italian Scholars". Please join the discussion on the Italian Military in the last 150 years.
