SELF PROCLAIMED WITCH ARRESTED FOR FRAUD NEAR COSENZA

(AGI) - Cosenza, 2 Oct. - The Police in Castrovillari (Cosenza) have arrested a self proclaimed with, Filomena Aloise, 36 years old, with the accusations of fraud and extortion against a number of people. The arrest follows a long investigation including: phone taps, shadowing operations, ambushes, searches and seizures of property. As a result of the investigation a large number of amulets, dolls, spell-books, candles, pins and other material pertaining to the carrying out of "magical rites". A further two women have been charged, both of whom are from Campania, and are thought to have colluded with Aloise in carrying out fraud. Further details will be given at 11am at the Castrovillari Police Station. The head of the investigation, d.ssa Larissa Catella, Substitute Prosecutor of the Republic of Castrovillari, will be present.
