The Itakesavillage Mission:

It takes a village to raise a child. Unfortunately, our societies villages and people in general are not as connected as they once were. Today, the Internet gives us the opportunity to connect and create a virtual Village. What we hope will come of this group, this Village, is a connected family. One that looks out for and cares for itself as a whole.

So many parents/families are in need, real need of toys, clothes, diapers, advise, support, etc. And, there are also many of us that have more than we can use. We all want to give our families the best, but look at the wages throughout the country... its hard for us all; some more than others. Of course, no one wants to be pitied or feel like a "charity case”. Pride is so prevalent; many would go without before asking. Let us all give what we have, or trade with each other. What do we all do with the items that we attempt to sell/auction? PACK RAT!? Possibly. How about cleaning out and helping others at the same time? It's so good for the soul!

So much love goes into every stitch of handmade, homemade items... Let's spread that love further! Giving is more than good, it feeds ones soul. Kind words of wisdom or a donation to our PayPal for shipping...What can you do? What do you need? If you are a WAHM or Dad, maybe you could help others figure out how to do the same, either by direct support or advice. Better yet, both!
