This discussion forum is for the muslems and their friends living in S.E KS, S.W Missouri, and N.E Oklahoma. This would include (but not limited to) the following towns: joplin, Pittsburg, Webcity, carthage, Parsons, Chanute, Fortscott, Miami, Nevada, independence, coffyville, vinita, and the surrounding area to exchange ideas, information and thoughts. The purpose of this forum is to discuss matters concerning the religion of islam, our community issues, da'wah, and being effective in our area. That would include (but not limited to) discussing the community mission and how to implement them, mosque issues, writing to area-newspapers regarding islam, current issues, and peaceful action alerts. We welcome every muslem living or used to live in this area. In addition, we welcome non-muslems who are interested to learn about islam, discuss islam in a respectable manner, or to work with local muslems toward better understanding of islam in the local.
