The Islamic Artists Society was created as a platform for ideas and interchange amongst Muslim artists. We open to creative expressions from all genres of the arts such as: short-story, poetry, painting, photography, web design, architecture, film, calligraphy, etc.

Feel free to promote your art by posting a link to your website or blog in the Links Database. You can also post news and press releases of upcoming shows, films and other such events. Insha'Allah this group will be a stepping stone into creating a new organization or group dedicated to teaching Islam through the arts and informing others of the beauty of our deen.

But before posting anything or linking anything into the database, plase make sure that it complies with the Qur'an and Sunnah. So, no nudies. I know there are very beautiful paintings out there like that but they can't be promoted on this group. No stories with overt sexual content, profanity or slams on the Prophet (sallalahu alayhi wasalaam). Believe it or not, those stories are becoming very popular.

Also, this is not a group to discuss differences of interpretation amongst progressives, traditionals, liberals, Wahhabis, Sufi, Shi'a, Sunni, etc. Use the K.I.S.S. rules of conduct! Keep It Simple and Sunnah and everything will be alright! Any deviations from the rules will be addressed. (Moderator cracks whip!) :)

But insha'Allah, we will have fun. We will grow and use our talents to glorify our Creator.
