Welcome Iris Folders!
"The technique called Iris Folding had its beginnings in the Netherlands. There they used strips from colorful envelopes to complete their designs. Today we use any light weight, easy to fold paper that is cut into strips, folded, and taped down onto a pattern. Iris folding gets its name from the spiraling design which is used in tradtional Iris Folding patterns. The spiral is created to look like the iris of an eye or the opening of a camera lens. In the last few years several folders have developed other techniques for folds moving away from the spiral. But all techniques result in beautiful cards with minimal effort."!
