A gathering place for Iowans interested in modular model railroading in HO scale, specifically the Free Modular Standard (or Free-Mo).
I am interested in gathering Iowans together that hold this specific interest in the hope of occasionally meeting somewhere on a couple of different weekends in a year to build and operate on a large, if not huge modular model railroad. Since I believe this is something new for Iowa, I don't want exclude those modular model railroaders using the NMRA standard. I was a member of an active club in the Chicago Suburbs for some years and our modules were a mix of free-mo and NMRA with transitions to/from the two. Initially it faced some pessimism and minor technical difficulties, the club modules blossomed into a railroad with a lot of operational capabilities.
Let see what happens.
Thanks for stopping and taking a look. Join the group if you are interested. Members have access to Files and Photos, etc.
Sincere Regards,
