Mission:
We are people with disabilities (PWDs) certified through RTA who ride CTA, Metra, PACE, taxi, door-to-door and mainline services in Chicago and suburbs. We support best interest of paratransit riders and those willing to work with us to improve services and resolve customer service issues.

We want to keep paratransit affordable, safe, and efficient for us.
IMPRUVE tries to be pro-active. However, due to unaffordable proposed fare hikes: $150 for ADA pass 2/B eliminated, $4.50 city, $ 3.50 suburbs, poor service, unfair zones, unsatifactory Pace Blue Ribbon Committee report, we support radical change i.e. legal action, protests, boycotts, vigils, sit-ins.

Main issues 2009-16: Federal class action lawsuit on Pace 2/B litigated by Consumer Advocacy Center. Reduce fares. Safer, more comfortable vehicles. Waive paratransit farebox ratio. Set up our own green van pool & green jobs for PWDs. Carrier accountability. PACE accountability to clients. Reduce retaliation to riders. Improve training of drivers,clients to end attitudinal barriers. Improve rights awareness & paratransit procedures & operations. Ownership of paratransit by riders, drivers.
