I am now to be referred to as Dr. Jenkins haha ;) Took me about a month to get
fully accredited, but after ringing these ppl 1-415-267-3940 they got me setup
at an international uni and had me my BA in no time.
This is just awesome guys! I finally got around to graduatin and I didn't even
have to turn up a single day this time around to get my final credit points. Now
I am fully qualified in a BA and on the hunt for a new job! I'll let you
guys know how I do, but just thought I'd mention this now since they helped me
out. If any of u interested in getting a BA or something similar without having
to go through all the hassle they put you through in US institutions give these
guys a call 1-415 267 3940 . They got me through in around a month.
Hi Guys,
Just wanted to let you know that I got my CSQ on the spot. Luckily
my French was so high, that I got full points for that. The main
purpose of the Interview was to verify my documents and make sure that
I can speak French. They did not ask me a single question about
Quebec's history.
Thank you

Congratulations!
I told you so. I wa also stressed when I had my interview in New York 2 years
ago. I went up there the guy (conseiller d'immigration) just asked to see
documents and chatted with me a little bit. The procedure is the same every
where.
Good luck for the visa part.

Bonjour Monsieur,
<http://www.emploi-quebec.net/> )
5/ Les exigences d'exercice de la profession au Québec (pour s'adapter au
marché du travaille québécois)
Et finalement je dois dire que si vous n'avez pas décalage dans votre dossier,
la reste n'est qu'une formalité.
Bon courage

Greetings! I applied for PR through Quebec Skilled worker class in
Buffalo (after receiving CSQ from Quebec). Buffalo office requested
the medicals for me and my husband (currently both are working in
Canada).
I am pregnant now and I had requested for medical exemption, as I had
recently done the medical exam in India (valid till May 2008) and I am
in canada since Jan 2006.
My query is: Whether they will exempt me from medical exam or should I
do the medical without chest X-ray and submit it after the baby is
born.
Your comments will be highly appreciated!
The BIQ Damas website for processing times is now updated. It says
that Indians who applied in July 2006 are currently being called for
interviews.
I got file number in Mar 2007 so maybe my turn will come next year
around the same month ( OCT or NOV).
Anybody knows more on this please let me know.
Any Indian candidate got interview call this time , please let me
know. I will be thankful for ur reply and others will also be benifitted.
Thank you.

From what I heard, you will have to inform the Buffalo office about your
pregnancy. After your delivery, get a CSQ for your baby and then reapply to
buffalo. I don't think your medicals will be accepted when you are pregnant.

Thanks Aziz for your valuable info! I will inform the Buffalo office
and wait till my baby is born.
I wonder whether is it necessary to get a CSQ for a newly born baby?
Thanks again!

Bala,
I am sorry I forgot that you were already in Canada. Your child will be a
canadian citizen if you deliver in Canada. So no need for any processing for the
baby. Whatever I said will hold true for someone doing the processing from
outside Canada. In your case, the following link may help:
http://www.international.gc.ca/canada-europa/france/visas/faq_imm-en.asp
Is a pregnant woman obliged to have any X-rays done.or can she be exempted?
A chest x-ray is an obligatory part of the medical results. Pregnant women may
submit a chest x-ray taken within the 6 months preceding the start of the
pregnancy so long as the applicant's identity and the date of the x-ray are
printed on the image itself. If such x-ray is not available, there are two
options: you may decide to have the x-ray done with a protective apron or wait
until after the child is born. If you chose the second option, please let us
know, mentioning the expected due date. Do not forget to inform us of the birth
of the baby by sending us a copy of the birth certificate.
Regards,
Aziz

Hi everybody
i applied for imigration to canada in feb 2007 and they refused my
apllication in september 2007 , i have already sent a revision request
is there any obligation for them to send me a response ? i mean should
i wait for response or is it better to re-apply ?
Can you give more details...you say you applied for immigration to canada and
was refused. It is not clear whether you applied to Quebec for a CSQ or you
applied under the federal skilled workers category. Or whether your federal
application was refused after getting a CSQ?
Also, what was the reason mentioned for refusal? If you re-apply, why do you
think it will be accepted now?

Hi my dear friend , so let me explain in details , they refused my
application before interview and they said that i didn't obtain
minimum points for immigration to Quebec , oh excuse i forget to say i
applied as a skill worker for Quebec.
my major is Agricultural engineering (B.A)and based on training list
area 2006 they must gave me 5 point more !!! i have already mentioned
that i have few Familial friends in Montreal but they didn't give me
any points. i calculate several times my points in Quebec immigration
website and each time the result was Positive.
But they refused my application just for 3 points !!!!
so this time i want to increase my points in French language
proficiency i think this only way that i can recover my
missed points.
i would appreciate if you help me to find a right answer

Morteza,
The short answer to your question is that yes, it is reasonable to expect a
response to your review request. It does appear that you have a good case.
Agricultural engineering clearly gets 5 points according to their publication.
So it probably is worth waiting for their response.
But for re-application on the basis of improved french, you may want to take an
exam to prove your claim.
Regards,
Aziz

Pregnant women may submit a chest x-ray taken within the 6 months
preceding the start of the pregnancy so long as the applicant's
identity and the date of the x-ray are printed on the image itself. If
such x-ray is not available, there are two options: you may decide to
have the x-ray done with a protective apron or wait until after the
child is born. If you chose the second option, please let us know,
mentioning the expected due date. Do not forget to inform us of the
birth of the baby by sending us a copy of the birth certificate.

Hi,
I am in Canada since 2002 as a intrenational student with a CAQ and
study permit. I applied for PR and I obtained my CSQ and now I am
jsut waiting for the answer of Bufalo.
The problem is that I renwe my study permit without renewing my CAQ
since I read in the Quebece Immigration web site that persone having
a CSQ and whose permanent residence application is processed in
Canada are not required to obtain a CAQ. I tought that this is
equivalent to that the person should be in Canada and apply for the
PR in Canada.
Anyway, I submit my application of extending my study permit and they
informed me that I need to apply to CAQ even that I have a CSQ and
now I am in restoration statuse for 90 days.
I applied for CAQ and I want to know that if Quebec immigration can
make me serious problem with that in the case that I am renweing my
CAQ with 3 month delays.
Thanks
Could anybody tell me what is next after sending the med exams?(CSQ
already sent last Oct)...about how much longer before the great news???
And also, if anyone who got their visa this year could post a
timeline, so we know how fast they are processing the files this year.
This would be really helpful
:D
I have applied as a principle applicant in Canada immigration file
(federal skill worker) applied in 2007, I got file number,
Now I want to apply for Quebec permanent skill worker, Is that
possible for me to apply? If can I apply then should I need to
withdraw my old file?
