Hi Khan,
I don't have any links for internships or practical training, but two Web sites
that I have come across for finding volunteer work are:
1) www.charityvillage.com
2) www.volunteertoronto.ca/ (But this is only for Toronto)
I hope someone else might be able to offer more relevant information.
Good luck,
Parul

means that the documention was sent only after the inicial assessment. Nowadays
you do that when you first apply. I don't know fi that is your case, but my
first step after receiving the initial assessment was to provide the full
documentation and I had 4 months to do that. The second step was to provide the
medical examinations. After the examinations I think that the process has to go
very quickly because as you said, they expire in 12 months and that is the
deadline you are given to land in Canada. I don't remember how much time I was
given to provide the examinations but I think it was one or two months. The
third step is the interview, which I don't know anything about because I went
straight to the 4th step which is to pay for the Permanent Residency fees and
provide the passports to get the entry visa. As I said, this entry visa has an
expiration date of 12 months after you do the medical examinations.
