Preach, Teach, the Word of God, Standing Firm

Chris Cotelesse, a high school senior in Pennsylvania tried
unsuccessfully to hang the Ten Commandments on his school
locker. He thinks people in our society need to see the Word of
God. But his principle, William Lyon refused to let him, citing
separation of church and state.

So, Cotelesse took at different approach. He hung them on
himself instead. He began hanging a homemade sandwich
board over his shoulders while in school displaying the
commandments. His plan is to continue wearing the sign
through the school year.

Principal Lyon notes he will allow the display. Lyons says, he
has respects any student willing to stand up for his religious
beliefs, no matter what they are.

What a great example of what Paul tells us: "Preach the Word;
be prepared in season and out of season, correct, rebuke and
encourage with great patience and careful instruction" (2 Tim.
4:2 ).
