Illinois Smokers Alliance is a public group for smoking activists in IL or ANY state to discuss the IL smoking ban-related issues. This is also a sister forum group of Illinois Smokers Rights.

If you are a smoker or non-smoker... welcome! We are against bans, so if you are for them and want to post, please go somewhere else.

If you are an anti-smoker and just here to lurk to see what you can learn... welcome!!! Sit back and lurk, we hope you get more information than you wanted and maybe realize that there really are two sides to this issue.

A few general rules for every successful group:

1. Understand that when you have your say, others will also. Don't try to tick off people. This is actually more of an issue when antismoking posts sneak through. If so, any antismoking members will have future posts moderated.

2. If the group gets active and you are getting too much mail, click on the "Edit My Membership" link above and change to "Digest" version. Then you will only get one email a day from the group with all the day's posts in it.

3. New members can use the group's "Search Messages" option before asking any questions. There's a good chance your Q's were already answered from past discussions in here.
