Dalits educated at IITs go through lots of pressure in these premier educational institutes of india. Inspite of the discrimination faced at the campus, they go on to succeed in their professions. This group is intended to bring together these professionals to contribute to dalit cause.
Goals
* Networking forum for dalit IITians.
* Enable dalit iitians to involve in dalit issues.
* Help dalit students to avail of scholarships to pursue
higher education.
* Help in settling dalit students coming overseas.
* Provide scholarships to dalit students.
* Come up with awards to honour contributions to dalit cause,
art, music, literature, community work etc.
* Influence reaction/response to incidents involving
DALIT RIGHTS.
* Help in organizing dalit students in each IIT.
* Provide platform for inter-iit dalit student co-operation.
* Disseminate important news about dalit community.
