The purpose of this chapter is to bring together our friends in the Greater Portland area, including Vancouver, WA and and the rest of Oregon, who graduated from any of the IITs in a social setting to have fun and help each other. This is intended to be a networking organization that can be helpful to all of us. It is not intended to be a business solicitation of any sorts.

We have meetings or events on the last Saturday afternoon of every month. We are still looking for ideas to bring our IIT alumni community together. We also maintain a facebook page which is more updated with information . Please visit the web page and IITians are encourage to create their face book account and join the group.

Year 2006 was our "honeymoon" year. Here are some of the fun events that we had that year. In the months of May and June, we had group hikes on the scenic Wildwood trail followed by short meetings. The July event (Saturday, 7/29) was a picnic with the families of the members. We also had a productive and informative meeting with five of the Professors of IIT/KGP on July 9th. Our monthly event for September was an orienteering event at Cook Park in Tigard on September 30th. The pictures from the hikes and the picnic are posted in the photos section. Thanks for a lot for everyone for making these events a great success. In October and December 2006, we productive meetings focused on goal setting for the chapter, future projects and governance for '07.

In year 2007, jointly with the Seattle section, we have formed a formal Pacific-Northwest chapter of the Pan IIT Alumni Association. Here is a look at the accomplishments for year 2007 for Oregon section.
