The Interfaith Council of Greater Portland (ICGP) was first organized in the aftermath of September 11 by leaders in the local religious community who wanted to make permanent connections between believers of many faiths.

In addition to our many inter-denominational events, ICGP also creates opportunities for people from different religions to meet each other, so they can form partnerships and collaborations around topics of similar interest.

In keeping with that mission, in 2007 ICGP started hosting a quarterly breakfast for representatives of the many inter-religious groups in the Portland and Vancouver metro areas. It quickly became clear that we needed a central hub where all of our groups could post notices of our events, and be listed with our contact info so we could find each other. Hence, the creation of this blog.
