This group was formed to provide resource information for and about Jews of Western Africa (Maghrebi) descent, specially the Jewish community in Nigeria. As a part of this goal this site can be used to discuss and promote ways and ideas to facilitate research varioius Ibo Jewish customs and heritage. This list is also established to discuss Judaism on a international scale as well as how it relates to the Jewish community in Nigeria.

Lastly, the goal is to also to provide support the Ibo Jewish communities in Nigeria, and unite said Nigeria Jewish communities with the greater Jewish world. This will be done by both communication and action to improve contact between the communities in Nigeria with fellow Jews in Israel and in the diaspora. Providing the communities in Nigeria with articles and reference material on Torah and such are also a desired part of the communication from this list. This site also has the goal of keepint Nigerian Jews in contact with Israelis who are coming or have come to Nigeria. Anyone with a concern for Judaism is welcome.

This site does not promote the concept that any Jewish community is in-valid and accepts all Israelis, Maghrebim, Mizrakhim, Teimanim, Sephardim, Ethiopian Jews (Beta Yisrael), Ashkanizim, Benei Anusim, etc. as VALID Jewish communities.
