Over the years toxic chemicals, heavy metals, radioactive waste, drugs, antibiotics, growth hormones and genetically modified organisms have been introduced into our air, our water and our foods. With each additional toxin one more "permissible", "safe" part per million is added to the bubbling cauldron.

The human bio-terrain has inhaled, ingested, had injected, and absorbed through the skin enough for it to result in what the CDC describes as things like "Unexplained Dermopathy", chronic respiratory disease lasting for years which it calls the flu, odd lesions, fibers, and GMO plant genes being discovered in the skin and gut of unfortunate individuals.

More than anything perhaps, what spurred the creation of this Yahoo Group was BPs Macondo Well Oil Spill and immediate introduction of Corexit in unprecedented amounts and the sinking of 75% of the estimated 200 million gallons of oil in the middle of the Gulf of Mexico.

Today residents of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida are sick and getting sicker - just as was the case when the Ex xon Valdez (double x's not permitted in Yahoo Group descriptions) oil tanker spill and Corexit solution was implemented in Alaska.

This list is not a complaint board for whiners getting nowhere. This group is an action board for willing and able individuals, groups and organizations to take part in combining our voices and our efforts. Ultimately, if need be, we must fulfill the function of a Political Action Committee for the purpose of wrestling control over our environment away from the greediest corporations and the politicians in their pockets.

Our immediate mission is to bring to light the illnesses being caused by the BP Oil Spill - and any and all contributing factors mentioned in paragraph one above - and to get these most unfortunate ignored and forgotten victims the medical help they deserve, and have all of this paid for by those corporations who are responsible.
