Promises was formed in early 2001 to meet the spiritual needs of Highland Park United Methodists’ newly and nearly married couples. Today we are a membership of married couples in their late twenties and thirties, most of whom have begun young families.
Promises is an interactive, discussion-based Sunday School class whose class topics focus on Christian-based approaches to marriage and family enrichment. As a class body, we place emphasis on our spiritual growth (Curriculum), our commitment to mission activities (Missions), our enjoyment of fellowship gatherings (Social), our support of one another during significant life changes (Care Ministry), and our continued growth as a class (Membership).
We welcome you to come visit Promises any Sunday! We meet from 11:00-12:00 pm in room 261 of Wesley Hall. For more information, feel free to contact Reagan and Courtenay Strey, Membership Officers, at courtenay_h_strey@yahoo.com.
