Getting over the "hump" in the water...   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #1486 of 1508 |
Hello!

Well, I just bought a 2006 Air Commander AC3 and I took it to the water today
and it was very hard to get it over the "hump". This particular model has a
vertical and thrust motor and I could not get it to go much faster than 5 mph!
The thrust engine is very loud and it is odd seeing me hovering with the thrust
going very hard and seeing me go very slow!

Also, there is something wrong with the steering since it can turn full right
and is very limited to the left. I don't know if it is the steering cable was
installed incorrectly.

This is very frustrating...

Does anyone now a solution for getting over the "hump" and for the steering?

I watched your videos and it looks like you could possibly be scooping water with the rear skirt fingers. Do you have a drag flap installed. It's a wide piece...

You can adjust the steering with placing the push pull cable bracket. Measure max movement on the helm. Mark aft on rod of the cable and make a line in the...
