This is the Houston Area group interested in promoting the Department of Peace, a cabinet-level position. The goal is to address violence at its root causes. The Dept of Peace will promote and implement non-violent solutions for international and domestic problems. This includes relationships with ourselves, our children, our society and other countries. Teaching conflict resolution and mediation to children of all ages is stressed. Peace is more than the absence of war; it is a way of being.
