Houston Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers

Welcome to the Houston Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers Yahoo Group!

We focus on writing Science Fiction, Fantasy, Dark Fantasy or Horror. The
Yahoo Group functions as our discussion board, our mailing list, and our
meeting calendar.

Currently we hold informal monthly meetings in public venues to discuss
topics of interest and sometimes to share work, exercises and information.
If you are interested in finding out what we are about, please join us on
the second Monday of each month at Cafe Express ( 1422 West Gray, Houston).
We meet centrally in order to equally disadvantage as many of our members as
possible! If you can't wait until the next meeting or the meeting time is
not convenient, please send email to the group owner explaining why you
would like to join the group.

The larger group is not intended to function as a critique circle, but if
you are looking for a critique-style writers group, we may be a good place
to look for a group to join or to find other writers with whom to start a
new critique group.

While list membership is not limited to Houstonians, the list primarily
exists to support a primarily face-to-face community in the Houston area
