HEO is for hsing parents to discuss use of HEO. You may not sell or advertise here. HEO is the middle/high school version of Ambleside Online, an e-mail support group for parents using or considering Years 7-12 of the AO homeschool curriculum. AO is inspired by and patterned after Charlotte Mason's educational principles. There is no tuition, and whenever possible books are chosen which are available for free online. Our Homepage We hope to help parents make the transition from Charlotte Mason's philosophy to practical application. This isn't the only way to use CM's ideas, nor is it the CM curriculum. Rather, this is offered as a help to homeschooling parents who may find a model useful. We urge our members to familiarize themselves with the philosophy behind CM's methods, since without her principles in habit, character training, and other ideas, this program is merely a booklist. This list is a courtesy provided by the hard work and dedication of volunteers who receive no compensation whatsoever for their time and energy. Moderators reserve the right to head off discussions for any cause. Those who continue to post on topics that moderators have closed or who challenge moderators' decisions to close a thread may have their posting privileges revoked. Our members are already subscribed to the regular AO list, so please do not use this list for cross-posting topics that you also post to AO. This is neither a general CM or general hsing list.
