I was recently admitted to this group. Thanks for having me!

As an active parent with young kids (5^th grade and 2^nd grade), last year I came across a free website called: Jooners.com.  I used it to coordinate volunteers for field trips, class parties, the school's carnival and our book fair (our largest fundraiser).  Jooners saved us much time by having volunteers sign-up online.  It also increased our volunteer pool 3 fold – because parents could see exactly which job or time slot was available and sign-up directly for it.  No overlaps! Everyone was also auto-reminded of their commitments too!

Using Jooners' ready made sign up sheets made it all so easy.  These are contributed by experienced PTA/PTOs, sports team managers, scout leaders and more. You can just pick one, then easy-edit.  Here are a few to try:
