This group is for Homeschooling parents who wish to find a pen pal for their child(ren)or already have their children involved in pen pal correspondence. This group's purpose is to help homeschooling parents make their child's pen pal experience a positive one. Among other things, writing letters promotes language skills as well as penmanship. This group is geared for pen pals using the good old U.S. Postal Service, but if you find a partner that's willing,you may participate in E-mail correspondence. Feel free to share any ideas you have for making the whole penpal experience better. NO INAPPROPRIATE POSTINGS WILL BE TOLERATED! ~To search for a pen pal for your child start the subject line of your post with "SEARCHING:". This will make your request much easier to see amongst the other postings. Please include your state(if in the USA) or your country. This will assure you do not end up with a pen pal in the same vicinity. You should also enter your child in the database. This will make it easy for people to find you.

~Respond to someone's search via personal email. This way you can exchange children's names and addresses privately.

***As a mom, I implore you to NEVER post your child's name and address on the message board. Athough I would like to think that all members are decent individuals, I would be cautious. That is why I encourage you to correspond with a potential pen pal parent via personal E-mail. Never be afraid to turn down someone who has responded to your search. We all want the best match for your child. ***
