This list is a meeting place for residents of the Hampton Roads, Virginia surrounding area to find camaraderie for themselves and their children through homeschooling. We have members from Norfolk, Chesapeake, Hampton, Newport News, Portsmouth, Suffolk, and Virginia Beach, York County, Williamsburg, Gloucester, Poquoson, Smithfield, Isle of Wight, the Eastern Shore NE North Carolina.

It is a list to talk about field trip ideas, get-togethers, co-op info, sports, curriculum, learning styles, homeschooling laws, family views of homeschooling, etc.

We welcome people of all races, religions and creeds and encourage questions and suggestions on anything homeschooling-related. While we do not disallow or ban teen members, we want them to know that we are primarily a group for parents to support one another in homeschooling. If a mature, responsible teen (with parental permission) would like to set up a homeschooled teen group, we will be happy to post info about that here. Simply send an email to the list owner.
