The SAT code for all homeschoolers is 970000, but it will appear as New York. The ACT code is 969-999. For the PLAN (pre-ACT), the code is 979-999. If you are looking for something in particular, you might want to check out the links, files, and database section before posting a question. We screen potential members, but ONLY to keep out spammers.

Posts can include but are not limited to preparing the child for high school course work, selecting books or curricula or programs, reviews of any particular curriculum and how it helped (or failed to help) your child, extracurricular activities including sports and music and driver's ed, identifying potential colleges, how particular colleges treat homeschoolers, college applications, preparing for and taking the PSAT/SAT/SAT II/PLAN/ACT and AP tests, preparing and submitting transcripts, financial aid -- and now we're being blessed by reports from homeschooled students who have made the transition to college. You don't have to reinvent the wheel, there is a wealth of information here for the asking!

Two caveats:

First, since this is such a large group, only on-topic posts are allowed. You are welcome to join homeschool2collegechat to discuss other topics.

Second, basic Netiquette is required of all participants. This includes no flaming or spam, of course, but it also includes deleting all or most of the post to which you are replying and changing the subject line if appropriate. Posts not meeting these requirements will be rejected for correction and resubmission.
