Hi,
I got sidetracked on developing a list I set up at Yahoogroups
(formerly egroups). You signed up either because you read my
book, "Homeschooling on a Shoestring" (co-written with Melissa L.
Morgan), or because you visited my website, www.
DreamsOnAShoestring.com. If you are no longer interested, please see
the contact info at the bottom of this e-mail to unsubscribe.
Melissa and I have been swamped with deadlines relating to our new
book, "Educational Travel on a Shoestring" (due out in early 2002).
Now we are beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
In the meantime, Home Education Magazine started a list called HEM-
Conferences, which is geared toward authors and speakers as well as
ocnference planners for secular homeschooling. It has 65 members,
compared with about 25 who have signed up for this list. It leans
toward "unschooling."
Here is the link, in case you are interested:

You might want to peruse the archives.
I'm torn about shutting down this list. With 25 of us we could have
some very active discussions. Could I hear from you, if you are still
out there, and would like to activate this list?
Here are some topic starters:
==How do you organize your volunteers?
==What have you learned from this year's conference that you want to
apply to near year's?
==How do you select speakers?
Thanks for your feedback!
Happy trails!
Judith
