This group is all about canning. It is for the very experienced to newbies who want to learn about canning, preserving, dehydrating, freezing and other ways of preserving food.
Water bath canning, pressure canning, jams, jellies, pickles, dehydrating, and any other way to home preserve our bounty. Share recipes for using your beautiful canned items! And recipes and ideas for storage like dry mixes etc. I do want to state that this group allows only safe canning methods that are approved by the USDA. If you join this group and you insist on hanging onto the old unsafe ways do not mention it in this group! I know my Mother, my Grandmother and many before her have used BWB for canning everything. Times have changed and the fruits and veggies are not the same that they used to grow. The soil we have now is different. So we have had to modify how we do things to keep our families safe from Botulism and other really bad stuff from hurting our families. Please keep your friends and families safe and only use Safe approved methods for preserving your food, your life may depend on it! ***No SPAM, NO ADVERTISING personal products or newsletters etc. That includes groups that you may own.
