I just noticed a Hobie 33 with all gear and a trailer on eBay. Current bid is under $10K. Might be a great value for someone looking to get into the class.
Thanks for the suggestion Trey. I had not thought about spinning the sheave when thinking about restoration. Did you re-anodize or treat the alum when done?
When we converted Halfcat years ago we chucked the sheaves for the jib on a bolt in a drill and used sandpaper to smooth them out. We did replace one of them
