Welcome to the HMGS Forum -- the official list serve for the Historical Miniatures Gaming Society, Inc.

The HMGS Forum is a members-only, listserve that encourages debate on issues relevant to the corporation, its members, affiliated clubs, and the hobby. The forum also is a vehicle to facilitate announcements to HMGS, Inc. members from the Board of Directors.

HMGS, Inc. is a non-profit education organization dedicated to promoting the hobby of historical miniatures gaming--and encouraging the study of military history through the medium of miniatures gaming. It is the largest organization of its kind in the nation, with more than 2,500 members.

The Society sponsors many activities to promote the hobby and the study of military history. Over the years, HMGS has sponsored seminars by distinguished historians, awarded college scholarships, and provided grants to organizations that promote miniatures gaming and the study of military history.

Finally, HMGS, Inc. sponsors three historical miniature gaming conventions each year: Cold Wars (www.coldwars.org) in the Spring, Historicon (www.historicon.org)in the Summer, and FALL IN! (www.fall-in.org) in the Autumn.
