Happy 2009!


This forum is a meeting place for residents of historic Sanford NC to discuss topics that impact the City of Sanford, NC and the Lee County vicinity.

Sanford's four National Historic Districts are:

- Downtown Sanford
- Rosemount McIver Park
- Hawkins Avenue
- Lee Avenue

Of these, Downtown Sanford and Rosemount-McIver Park are also local overlay zoning areas that provide for local oversight of historic structures via Sanford's Historic Preservation Commission.

This forum's goal is to stimulate discussion, share ideas and news, and increase interest in the historic residential and commercial districts located throughout the Sanford area.

Please post your ideas, concerns, and community news so that we can continue to build our community and improve our neighborhoods.

NEWS - 12/17/2007

To encourage group participation, member email settings will reset yearly(on or about the beginning of the calendar year) to receive all group emails. This is being done in an attempt to increase visibility and participation in the use of this community resource.

If desired, group members are welcome to return their email settings to only read the messages online, receive digests, or only receive special notices.

We apologize if this is perceived as an inconvenience, but is meant to help stimulate participation.

Members will receive an email following the change to notify them of the modified email settings, which will also include instructions on returning the settings to their previous state if desired.
