Kokes had his methods, but I am of the opinion he always had the best for the
school at heart. When we wanted to participate in school's intercol, I went to
Seepersad and to Hawkins and they both said Hillview is not a footballing
school. When I went to Kookaram, he said, "get enough students who are
interested in playing and we will play". We won the senior division and got
nuff licks in the championship division, but I can, for the rest of my life say
that I played inter col football. I have Mr. Kookaram to thank for that. I too
had my run ins with him, but still maintain the utmost respect for the man.
Rest in peace Kokes and my most sincere condolences to his family.

But hey, sorry.. I'm just adding posts to this man's list. I'm betting
that's what he wanted. It's all about money and numbers.
I'm leaving this list. bye

You've missed the point... it's not about his methods.
It's about respect for the dead...

I totally agre with Everard.
Even though I never had Kokes as a teacher, his methods were always
in the best interest of the school. Of course you would never see it
that way when he is lacing a bamboo across your @ss..
