****Announcement***** as of March 2010 this group is being REACTIVATED, REVITALIZED, AND REVIVED!!!!

There have been few posts over the last months due to the lack of management...or, er, management putting her kid in public school, but she has learned her lesson and is back on the path of homeschooling!

Hernando county, Spring Hill, Brooksville, and surrounding areas are in need of a secular homeschool COMMUNITY. I say COMMUNITY because I have no desire for this to be an "activity" group. I want it to be a community. An Intentional Community. (By intentional, I mean "a community designed to have a much higher degree of teamwork than other communities.") I see members supporting each other. Leaning on each other. Talking when we are burnt out! And sure, lets do some field trips. Field trips rock. ;)

Currently, the only groups in the county that offer support are Christian groups, and while we support fully the faiths of all human beings, we feel that other faiths have value as well and here at Eclectic - WE SUPPORT DIVERSITY!!!!

I hope you will help me revive this group - There is Unity in Community!

We all have to pitch in a little, and get a little dirty, but the rewards are endless. Let's do the hard work and create this for generations of homeschool moms, dads, kids, and families in Hernando County!!!!!!

We don't have any particular agenda in schooling our children, and our curriculums or lack there of reflect that. Our world views vary, and we respect each in having his or her own world view.
