HERMITSPARLOR IS A LIST CREATED BY HERMITS FOR THE BENEFIT OF NON-HERMITS, TO SHARE WITH ONE ANOTHER OUR EXPERIENCES IN THE LIFE OF PRAYER.

THE LIST WILL BE CLOSED EACH YEAR DURING HOLY WEEK! ORDINARY LIST TRAFFIC RESUMES ON EASTER SUNDAY.

Hermits have always been consulted by the faithful about the life of prayer and also discerment re the life of discipleship in general. On this list we will speak of God or wait in silence ...

Each week the "host" may post a meditation on some topic of his or her own choosing or pose a question for all parlor guests to ponder. Succeeding questions and/or further reflection on that topic from anyone present will be welcomed.

This is not a "conversation" list. Imagine that little bit of awe you would feel on entering the sanctuary of a "real" hermit and bring that with you when you come here .... Hermitsparlor is God's place, set apart for Him. Serious pilgrims are very welcome, of course -- we are all travelers together toward the land of our heavenly inheritance.
