I love Henry River. I enjoy all its different beauties. Each season presents the village in a different way. Perhaps one of my favorite times is the summer, when the Crepe Myrtles are blooming and the blossoms are so heavy they almost fall into the road. This site is for people who have stories they would like to share about the Henry River Mill Hill and it's history. The village is beginning to show positive signs of deteriation but I'm sure I am not the only one who would love to see it preserved for our children to see. It would be a wonderful thing to preserve. You will find pictures on this site of Henry River that I took about 5 years ago. My parents moved to Henry River for about a year. We lived in #13 which is at the end of the sidewalk going down to the mill. The water was outside in the front yard and the toilet was out in the back yard. My brother and sisters, and I had the most marvelous place to play. Thank God, life is a little easier now a days. Our house number is 8113 now. It is funny, I used to think the number 13 was bad luck, but now I just think it must be destined to be my lucky number. (Smile)
