Description

The Hemlock Ring Blanket was adapted and designed by Jared aka Brooklyntweed. It is SOOOOOOOO beautiful and this is just the time of year to knit this fabulous lap blanket. Anybody who is interested can obtain the pattern from Jared's blog: http://brooklyntweed.blogspot.com/. It is in two parts - the doily which is the inside, and the chart, which is the feather and fan outside.

I am a total novice at starting a KAL, so PLEASE experienced knitters who are knitting this blanket, PLEASE post pictures and experiences. We are going to have some major wonderful blankets this year!

Extending the Feather and Fan
I am thinking that I want my blanket version of the pattern to be larger than the graph - has anyone already charted an extension to the Feather & Fan chart?

WOW - that is gorgeous!  Love the color, too!  What yarn did you use and was it difficult?  I've heard it's not as difficult as you think it will be????
