Helping People In Need is a group where people who are down on their luck can find volunteers willing to help them. You may post items that you need help with. Please put your geographic location in your post as many volunteers prefer to help those in their own area. There can be no assurance that your need will be met. As an email group, we do not have the checks and balances in place that a non profit organization has. It is up to the volunteer to verify that the request for help is genuine. It is especially important to assist needy families with children. Seven thousand years after the first cities were formed to protect the food security of existing populations, the wealthiest civilization in the history of the world somehow finds itself incapable of doing the same. This group is based in Minnesota, but is open to members anywhere.
