Description

This (slightly) moderated mailing list is for discussion only of those topics related to G.W.F.Hegel and his philosophy.

A (rather lengthy) draft for a mission statement can be found here.

It is aimed to provide a scientific level of discussion. Participants are expected to show a respectfull and scientific attitude both to Hegel and to each other. The usual "netiquette" as well as scientific standards apply.

The complete list rules can be found here.

Of course the list also serves for the exchange on books and articles, congresses, magazines, seminars etc., as long as they are related to Hegel.

This list belongs to the lists of hegel.net (created 1997) and its Wiki. A complete list of the mailing lists at hegel.Net with possibility to subscribe online can be found here.

If you have Hegel related questions or want to learn about Hegel, please see also our FAQ and our Hegel biography.

Messages can be posted in English or German.

Re: the many emerge from the one
Hegel shows how the other alienates itself and thus remains true to itself in his discussion of something and other in the Logic of Being. - Alan From:
