Description

A special focus of interest among the active members of hegel.net has always been Hegel's theology, especialy concerning christian theology.

So this list will discuss Hegel in connection to Christian Theology (absolute religion), where probably the most interest of those interested in Hegel's philosophy of religion will go.

This can include discussions on the development of Hegel's thoughts on christianity/theology as well as the reception of Hegel's thoughts, including the work of the "right Hegelians", like Daub, Marheinecke or Rosenkranz whose theological Hegelian works are overlooked, the discussion of the left wing critique of Hegel's theology, like the one done by Strauss, Feuerbach and Bruno Bauer and of course also the relation of the history of theology and especialy modern theology with Hegel's concepts.

For a discussion of Hegel's Philosophy of non-Christian religions, see the Hegel-religions list.

This list belongs to the lists of hegel.net (created 1997) and its Wiki. A complete list of the mailing lists at hegel.net with possibility to subscribe can be found here.

If you have Hegel related questions or want to learn about Hegel, please see also our FAQ and our Hegel biography.

Mails can be posted in English or German.

The copyright for these mails is the same as for hegel.net (see footer of hegel.net ).

Thomas writes as a theologian and integrates a "natural", Aristotelian type account of virtue with the theological virtues and graces. Your "purely a matter of
