Description

This list is for discussing Hegel's philosophy of objective spirit, as in the middle of the third book of Hegel's 'Encyclopedia' and his 'Philosophy of Right'.

It explores the connections between this part of the system with the rest of the system, e.g. the logic, the philosophy of nature, subjective spirit and absolute spirit.

We also ask for contributions and discussions on how to judge the various political and economical issus from the news from a Hegelian perspective.

Due to the volume of interest, please use the Hegel-Marx list for a discussion of Marx and Marxism. Thank you.

For a discussion of Hegel's Philosophy of History and HistoMat see the Hegel-history list.

This list belongs to the lists of hegel.net (created 1997) and its Wiki. A complete list of the mailing lists at hegel.net with possibility to subscribe can be found here.

If you have Hegel related questions or want to learn about Hegel, please see also our FAQ and our Hegel biography.

Mails can be posted in English or German.

The copyright for these mails is the same as for hegel.net (see footer of hegel.net ).

Re: Introducing myself
Thank you Andy for the warm welcome. I think you are right. It is hard to point out an exact and direct reference to Hegel in Vygotsky's works. I have not

Re: Introducing myself
Supplementary to that Arturo. There is a biography of Vygotsky which reports that Vygotsky studied Hegel at school and even that he had some kind of reading
